Sahastrakavach
Nar and Narayan Part 2 (Please read Part 1 for better understanding.) Near Badrinath, on the great Himalayas, there lived a daughter of Daksha, named Murthi with her two sons, Nar and Narayan. Nar and Narayan were the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu. Nar depicted human beings, where as Narayan depicted divine power. Both were born to defeat the cruel demon Sahastrakavach. It is said that Nar and Narayan were two different bodies, but their soul was same, single soul resided in two bodies. One day when Narayan was meditating, Sahastrakavach came and destroyed everything in front of his eyes. To save his brother Nar came and challenged Sahastrakavach for a duel. Fight continued for thousand of years and at last Nar succeeded in braking one armour(kavach), but died because of boon of Lord Surya.
